EDUCATIONAL OFFICER

Position purpose

There will be 2 exciting programs launching from TFI this year. One will be a constant stream of tutorials (exclusively using an A3 sheet format) for medical students and even junior doctors. The other initiative will be to provide a standardised and uniform source of information on different conditions for patients. As a result, we will need to recruit a group of educational officers to help with composing the tutorials and the information pages. 

 

Role and place within the organisation

The medicine program Educational Officer will report directly to the respective Medicine Leads. The Educational Officers will become the crux of the TFI medicine program mainly in aiding with content development as well as delivery to students. 

Position duties and responsibilities

  • Create and delivery of content for A3 tutorials OR/AND create information for the patient education platform. 

  • Hold online zoom A3 tutorials 

  • Communicate regularly with the Medicine Program Directors 

  • Attend all online meetings held by the Medicine Program Leaders 

  • Serve as a good ambassador for Teaching for Impact (at events, online, and in the community)

 

Desirable attributes

  • Senior Medical Students, PGY 1/2/3, other Medical Professionals including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists etc.)

  • A passion in teaching in Medicine 

  • Previous experiences in teaching 

    • Excellent time management and organisational skills 

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Genuine passion and interest in education and the sustainable development of our planet

    • Interviewee will be assessed on core qualities including leadership commitment, passion, organisational skills and time management. 

    • Failure to attend interview will result in an unsuccessful application.
