DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND SPONSORSHIP

The Executive Committee is responsible for setting the short-term and long-term direction of the organisation across 5 core domains:

  • Operations (overseen by President and Vice President)

  • Data management (overseen by Secretary)

  • Finance and sponsorship (overseen by Director of Finance and Sponsorship)

  • Marketing and communications (overseen by Director of Marketing and Communications)

  • People and culture (overseen by Director of People and Culture)

Position purpose

The Director of Finance and Sponsorship sits on the Executive Committee and works with the rest of the Executive Committee to set clear goals for the organisation within the domain of finance and sponsorship, develop comprehensive plans to achieve these goals, and with their team execute these plans to ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability.

 

Role and place within the organisation

The Director of Finance and Sponsorship works under the supervision of the President and is one of the core members of the Executive Committee. 

 

Position duties and responsibilities

  • Manage the organisation’s fundraising plans and capital structure

  • Develop a budget for each team within the organisation

  • Keep a faithful record of cash flow in and out of the organisation’s bank accounts

  • Manage financial relationships with external partners, sponsors and consumers

  • Prepare the organisation’s annual Financial Report for submission to the ACNC
